End-to-End
Journey
Welcome to the journey area of this toolkit. Below, we have created one exemplary journey scenario. Please bare in mind, that each consumer follows an individual path, that we cannot predict / steer fully. However, this scenario is based on research insights (link to insights) and strategic priorities (Push full-kitchen built-in) and thus portraits a likely (non-exhaustive) path optimized for BSH. Before you dive into the details, a couple of further disclaimers: This scenario is equally valid for all brands, not only Siemens / studioLine. Furthermore, not all activities may be relevant for / applicable to each country. For journey steps where more than one activitiy is mentioned, consumers might choose one over the other or engage in several. This scenario further describes our ambition towards a seamless end-to-end journey. We therefore put emphasis on our own touchpoints to be fully able to link and steer across those touchpoints and hope to expand these capabilities in the future. Based on consumer behaviour, a fully end-to-end seamless journey is possible in theory but not very realistic for the moment as it relies on a lot of external influences. While we wanted to depict a target picture, we only included those activities that may be implemented in the near future to optimize the toolkit for local usage. Overall, one goal is to optimize the seamlessness of our contact points with the consumer in order to stay on their mind and pull them back in our journey even when they have left our BSH path temporarily. Therefore, it is essential for touchpoints not to be optimized isolated from each other but rather with the intent to guide the consumer through our journey - from touchpoint to touchpoint. That principle should not only guide the selection and implementation of activities but also the integrated perspective on data and insights. Closing the gap in tracking consumers (e.g. kitchen studio visit) across touchpoints is one key success factor in moving towards our personalized seamless end-to-end journey ambition. As mentioned, not all included activities are fully implemented and available for local scaling as of today yet show an insights-based potential towards our target state. If you wish to explore some of the featured excellence initiatives / exploration activitities, please reach out to the BBP-XJ team. All activities are labeled. Please find the labels and meanings here: APPLY - Initiative has been successfully implemented within BSH and is ready for local scaling. ADAPT - Basics have been successfully implemented within BSH but might require adaption for better KIP tayloring before local scaling. EXPLORE - Initiative is not yet successfully implemented and can be driven in local pilots. STARRED - Initiative is a crucial success driver for the KIP experience.
Highlight
The majority of kitchen planners shifts from online to offline touchpoints as their journey progresses. Commonly, this shift happens with the decision for a kitchen furniture dealer. However, some consumers still research and buy their appliances online later in the journey. This premise is also represented in our Inspirational KIP journey below.
Hi, we are Dan & Nina, a young couple, who have just bought a new home and are now approaching our next project "kitchen planning".
After downloading the content we receive ongoing emails with kitchen planning guidance, different appliances available, more planning and buying advice from Siemens incl. must have features anf feature trends in appliances. We are learn why Siemens is a reliable partner for our kitchen project, focusing not only on design and product highlights but also on services and warranty. We are also directed towards the website for further one brand kitchen content, as well as a dealer locator that shows us kitchen retail partners close to us and to a Siemens showroom. Definitely something to keep in mind.
Looking for KITCHEN inspiration and general guidance online
(Social Media, Google) focusing on kitchen design / styles.
Defining and designing kitchen layout with architect / kitchen retailer,
incl. drafting appliance layout (golden triangle, etc.).
After our visit to the kitchen studio, we receive an email summarizing our offer, highlighting again the key benefits of the ONE brand kitchen set from Siemens. Further there is a "Still not sure" part that offers us various options to verify if we chose the right brand / appliances. Another follow-up later on reminds us of the special conditions we would receive for buying all our appliances from Siemens.
Selecting appliances mostly based on retailer recommendation
if no clear preference.
Finalizing plans & price comparison, compromising mostly on appliances --> Detailed appliance research (online & offline).
